Like the SCSI connection, the new
serial connection, USB, allows for several peripherals to be
connected in a daisy chain fashion; the next device is plugged into
the previous, and so forth up to 128 devices maximum. At the Las
Vegas Comdex 111 devices were connected in this fashion to prove the
worth of the USB port.

USB is faster than the old 9-pin
serial connections, and can take the place of the PS2 mouse and
keyboard sockets, game connectors and other traditional ports. |
